Unified Farm BLM publishes practical poultry guidance for small-scale farmers in Uganda. Our purpose is to share usable field lessons while clearly separating farm experience, illustrative calculations and professional veterinary guidance.

How we prepare a guide

• Field context: Reagan Mitanda writes from experience operating a small poultry project in Mpigi and speaking with local farmers and buyers.
• Source checking: Animal-health claims are checked against recognised sources such as the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH).
• Local verification: Feed prices, chick prices and selling prices are examples, not fixed market quotations. Farmers should confirm current prices with suppliers and buyers.
• Updates: We revise articles when guidance, market conditions or our own field experience changes materially. A changed date should reflect a meaningful revision.
